Selling a forum - Would you be staff?

If you were to sell a forum would you still want to be staff once you've sold it? Say you've got not much time to own it but can moderate it.

Have you ever stayed on once a forum of yours has sold. If this hasn't happened to you would you.

I have sold multiple forums in the past and just change to a VIP until I feel the owner has had enough time to work with it to how they want it.

I've never sold a forum, though I don't really understand how someone can moderate but can't own it, since the workload is more or less similar. ^^; If I were to sell a forum it would be because I can no longer manage it. I suppose I would still be VIP at least to be able to give advices or ideas if needed without running the ideas on my own.
