Selling ForuMansion

There isn't a set BIN price. Also, for experienced admins, the forum could be moved to phpBB or MyBB easily with free converters.
Yes, Oliver spammed it and hacked it before, but he only got through via Hotmail. If the person who purchases the forum and moves it to MyBB, they could ban Hotmail, Live, and MSN email addresses with one mod.

No one in their right mind would block those email domains. Maybe stop staff having those emails but not globally block them.

Would you accept $50 for it? 😛

Nope, not $50. Dang, David sold his forum for $60 I think, and it was hosted on ForuMotion (I'm pretty sure). It wasn't even active, and it didn't have many posts.

Well please give a rough indication of the amount of money you're looking for? :great:

Rok, Forumansion isn't worth even $80. You worked on the forum for more than a year already. Think about the time spent! Think about the brainstorming and advertising! I'd say it should be nearly $200!

I agree with joel, rok if you want I can get it sold for $500 for you as a favor.

Than how would you feel if GraphicMania is hacked right now? And others said all the mean things?

Well it might be a free forums but thats one heck of a database. Maybe if you could get hold of the host to get the database you could lead it some where. I can see this hitting more then $50 :great:
The pigs don't allow the database backups. You either have to convert it or cry that you're on the worlds most idiotic host. I used Forumotion as a test board and I pretty much had to run to the toilet and barf... It was a whole nightmare.

Radi my man, take a chill pill bro, no one likes someone who's gonna go stepping on people's dreams.

I sell my free DVD's for 20 dollars - sometimes less, sometimes more. 😉

And I will take a look into this Rok. Just need to sort out my credit card stuffs.

I wouldn't go around quoting something incorrect. It wasn't just the forum that was worth $60. There was $50 worth of credits, ie. 5 domains worth, plus the forum and the existing domain. Also, at the time of sale, it was on at least 60 posts per day (no spam), and for a forum being opened for 3-4 months and on a crappy Forumotion, that was pretty good at the time. Also, the skin was actually decent and aesthetically designed, and ready to be converted.

I could prove my traffic whereas I don't think you can, so using my forum as an example isn't going to help sales.

Guys, watch the language.

Mini, just leave the thread if you have nothing worthwhile to say. There's no need to trash this forum.

The forum is worth alot of money once converted. I would estimate $300-500. Yes the conversion will be a success, i did it.

I'm sick to death of all the flaming and goading, please either get back on to the issue of making real bids or leave the thread alone.
I won't hesitate to issue out warnings if this continues, thanks 😉

Thanks MissTake.

So far, we have a $70 bid on the forum (via PM.) However, I'm looking for more in between of $150 - $200. That may seem like a lot for a ForuMotion forum, but it CAN be moved to a different host and have all the posts transferred using a converter.

Rok, I would advise that you convert it first then sell because your getting a lot more for it I recon due to the flaming about ForuMotion.

I agree, also wouldn't be a bad idea to try an sell it on sitepoint.com since it's got quite a few posts and members.
