Selling vBulletin License

I have a vBulletin License and I am planning on selling it. Its already been transferred so I cannot transfer it but I can give you the whole account.

I am looking for about $70 for it.

Its an expired vBulletin 3.x Forum license but you can still download up to 3.8.6 and 4.0.6

You can renew it and get the latest updates. Not sure about 5 but I think you will be able to get the latest 3 and 4 updates.

Yes, you can still use it and download the version in the OP. You won't be able to get support ticket support but you can get support from the support forums.

Depends on which version, you want to renew it to. If you want to renew it to 5, i believe that it costs $xxx.

Not really. I don't use it much but you can create your own account and add your email address via the client area to get access to everything in the support forum and build up the rep.

After some research concerning upgrades, usage and vBs policies I have chosen to withdraw my interest.

Up-grading will cost around $150 per release, so to get to 5 we are talking a lot of money.

As this has been transferred once, it is virtually worthless.

Plus if VB discover that you are not actually the account holder, and the software isn't being used on the registered site, they can get a bit funny, OK you can change that, but that will ring alarm bells that the software may have changed hands yet again.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, especially for $70, I'd say $30 max, less of risk to losing it then. And at some time you will need support, most of the unofficial support sites are actually run by the official site MODs and coders.

What this boils down to is that the software will never actually be yours, what you are paying for is the account the licence is registered to, VB licences can only be transferred once, so if you buy this account you are breaking the T's and C's. If VB wanted to they could get nasty over it.
