Is there a difference between these 2? I'm building a site and have SEO enabled for short page links but what does SEF do that's different to SEO and should I use these both or is SEO enough?

To me, SERPs are more important. Those are the rankings up the Google indexing and all that.

There pretty much isn't a difference. SEF (Search Engine Friendly) is a concept of SEO, so by making your site more SEF you are technically making your site more SEO'd.

Making your site search engine friendly you are performing SEO. Whether it be on or off page, you are optimizing your site for search engines by making it easier to crawl 🙂

I believe it all goes under Internet Marketing as really, your sites are a business in itself. A bit more specific would probably be SEM (Search Engine Marketing).

What if I'm doing it for a blog? Or a non-profit project? Depends on what the site is and where you are taking it right? Would agree on covering it all with SEM though 🙂

To market doesn't always mean to make money. You market yourself and get noticed, hence why I believe it all goes under Internet Marketing.
