SEO for vBulletin.

It all depends on your keywords and metatags really. I haven't installed any of that stuff but I'm still top.

Yeah I see what you mean. But once you get a lot of members and new content all the time it can be come very useful.

I have both vBSEO and vBSEO's google and yahoo site map generator on my forum. i don't know if it will help in the long run but I do have them set up.

I installed vBSEO site map generator about 4 months ago and it actually drooped my Google PR from 3 down to 1. After a talk with the hacks designer I was told that it is normal for the PR to go away for a few months until the bots re-index all the new links.

I'm still waiting for my PR to come back. The good thing is that now alot of my threads are indexed in Google and Yahoo. My traffic has also increased by over 400% since I installed the site map generator.

I'm thinking vbSEO is outdated, google does a very good job indexing forums and doing it properly, as long as the site isn't crap.

There are free vbulletin seo options available at vbulletin.org
