Hello, I've been finding SEO a pain in the bum to be able to do, I've had no legit users of my forum, nor is anyone ever signing up, I have been trying my best since December the 30th to get my forum out there, and still no one joins, what am I doing wrong? I can't even find my site on Google under anything i want it to appear under?

Edit, I have changed my title from
Revealed Community to

Revealed Zone: The best computer forum in the universe, get computer support, advice and much more here.

How long does it take Google to update, and is that title good for seo?

You're focused on the bots, not the users. 😉

Example: I assume you installed an SSL certificate to please Google. SSL also impacts on your websites load time, which hurts visitor experience.

I would:
- Do some post exchanges.
- Use Postloop.
- Run a competition.
- Start at least 1 new topic per section per day.

But you're also making users safer from various attacks, which is a definite plus, and many users feel safer when browsing with a SSL/TLS certificate. As well as this, unless you've got a really media-intensive site, the slight overhead from TLS shouldn't be too concerning.

As for the problem of not attracting users, if you know anyone personally who may be interested, try to persuade them to join, and you could try promoting over social media.

I'm not an expert on SSL but most users won't even know the site has an SSL unless there is a green bar next to the domain in the url bar (which is expensive). As a forum owner I never bothered with SEO because people aren't going to search for your forum through google.

Just do some posting exchanges, buy some post packages and advertise your site. Don't just expect your site to get massive just by improving your SEO

ive had forums as well as everyone for years noone joins. its hard, you gotta get lucky

exchange or buy links in your niche

I don't know but your site loads very slowly for me, and get good theme to boost up the experience.

Have you been building any new backlinks or promoting your forum on social media? Is there a link to your forum somewhere in your signature on all the forums that you're currently a member of? Google won't be able to rank your site that well unless you have some quality backlinks pointing to your site. You could start off by submitting your forum to the various online directories that are online today, or write a guest blog post for another site, write an article on Hubpages or Ezinearticles and include a link back to your forum somewhere in your article. Are you doing post exchanges with other forum owners? Are you using posting services like theforumwheel or postloop?

Actually, quality is king. Write good enough content and people will in time link back to you of their own will. So long as you are "the source" for new stuff (or hard to find stuff) in your niche, then you have a big time advantage when people want to copy/paste a article and leave a link back to the source... that source could be from your site if you work at it!

Finally... one last tip... find a unique niche that hardly any sites have... one that you can update & post about on a daily basis.

SEO is definitely one of those things I have. love hate relationship with. I love it when it works.
