Basically my two sites i own i haven't really done much SEO with them but what can i do to rank them higher or increase chances of higher PR? at the moment i'm no where near getting higher PR.

If I was you I wouldn't worry too much about Page Rank. Focus on ranking higher. Well here's a few things you can try. First of all make sure the main keyword your going for is in your site's title and that's the text you use in all your text links. Add these text links to your forum signature on forums that allow it but don't put it on over 30 in a day or Google won't be pleased. Once you've done you should go and research methods like blog commenting, making sure it's not the automated spammy method. 🙂

It is always necessary that you do SEO to rank your websites in search engines. And I too agree on this:

I wouldn't worry too much about Page Rank. Focus on ranking higher.

Ranking will give you benefits by more traffic and not Page Rank.

Mainly focus on keyword's rank not page rank.
You have collect backlinks from relevant high quality sites.
I would like to say you..

• Collect backlinks from relevant sites.
  Collect backlinks from high PR sites which will help to increase page PR.
  Collect backlinks from high domain authority sites.
  Don't use keywords every time. Use ling-tail, domain, click here etc.
