California has either lost their minds or just created a genius way to help save water through evaporation. They have literally poured millions of non-toxic, weighted black balls into their reservoirs to shade the water from evaporating, which is the cause of the loss of millions of gallons of water.

What do you think, is this something that is quite genius or quite stupid? 😛

I think it sounds like a pretty good idea. It's certainly a way to think outside the box. 😛

I saw this on the news just the other day. I thought it was a goody idea and never seen this done before, but hey, if it works then good for them! Also, the company that produces those 'Shade Balls' is making a killing!

I saw this on the news as well. While it costs them a lot (I think around $2mil) I think it will help with the water evaporation issue.

That should do the trick. I bet having to go in there and clean up all the shade balls would be a lot of work, lol.
