Number of Posts & Members:
The number of members that you have is pretty good for a forum that just opened recently. However, the amount of posts seems to be a little on the low side when you compare that to the amount of members that you already have on your forum. I'm glad to see that the posts you do have are spread out around the forum and there is not a lot of empty space. There are a number of things you can do to get the post count and number of people on your forum. You can request a package from the Package Team here at FP, as always. You can also perform exchanges with other members if you want to check out the exchange area here on FP as well. I would also like to see you and your other staff member contribute to the community. If you and the staff are actively participating in the discussions then that is going to interest guests who are viewing the forum for the first time.

Thing you liked best about forum: There's plenty of members for a new forum.
Thing you liked least about forum: Would like to see the staff contribute regularly with posting on the forum.

I think your forum can be a great place for discussions. As long as you and the staff are making good contributions to the forum, I think your forum can become great. Good luck!

First Impressions:
My first impression of the forum was okay. I liked the way the forum is laid out because it makes finding things easy. That's always been one of my biggest pet peeves. If a site is too hard to navigate then I'll haul butt out of there faster than you can blink. The only thing I would do differently as far the layout is I would take the "announcements" area and move that up towards the top of the forum rather than having it at the very bottom of the forum. You'll want any announcements (regardless if they are about your forum or about the niche` of your forum, to be right out in front where everybody can see it. I am glad to see that the areas that have to do with the niche` of your forum are front and center. That's the way that it should be when you have a specific niche` on your forum.

Number of Posts & Members:
At the time of this review, there are 183 topics, 539 posts and 68 members. I know your forum has been open since July, at least. The amount of members that you have isn't so bad but I would expect a little bit more on the posts/topics side with that many members. You and your staff members can help increase that yourselves. By posting regularly by the staff on your forum, that will help guests to join and members to post. But you don't want to just post anything. You want to try to come up with as much unique content as possible. The more that will help you stand out, the better. Also, you may want to consider creating a Twitter account for your forum. What you can do with that is you can tweet about your forum. But you can also follow other Twitter accounts that may have a similar interests as you. You can even share popular topics on your forum through your Twitter account.

Activity Level:
I feel like the activity level should be a little higher than what it is on your forum at the moment. There are was to kind of spruce that up. You can always request a package from the Package Team on FP to provide some activity for your forum, however, I will mention that the packages are only meant to boost activity. They aren't meant to be the only activity on your forum. Also, in between package requests, you can head to the exchange center here at FP and offer to do exchanges with other members here. If you have the time, you could do a couple of active for active exchanges with some other people who have forums you're interested in. That would give you some activity on a regular basis instead of just in spurts.

Thing you liked best about forum: The forum is nicely laid out.
Thing you liked least about forum: The activity could be better.

I think you have a nice forum here but I would really like to see the activity go up. The more you work on your activity, the more you're going to see your forum grow.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I first visited your site, the first thing I noticed was that you have recently changed themes, the forum was of a dark theme which I tend to dislike, as it can sometimes be hard to read things on the forum.

There was a community with plenty of posts however, they seem to be quite inactive with the most recent posts being posted on the 15th of Feb. The theme colors seem to be balanced but user groups do need some work. overall, a good looking forum.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
DESIGN
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The design of the forum is dark, great for late night posting but can be a bit hard to read during the day. At the time of writing this review, your forum seems to be in the process of switching themes. I know this because your theme is telling you how to change the logo in the omaga theme.

To make this forum stand out I would suggest adding a light and dark switch for users to use, that way they can tone down your forum depending on the time of day. I also recommend you find colors that work with the dark theme if that is what you like. The standard dark blue of the admin is almost impossible to read. I recommend bright colors with the current theme.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
COMMUNITY
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The community is quite inactive, however, there is lots of content for new users to see, I would recommend spending more time on other communities picking up people as you go. I would also recommend the possible use of the package team which you are a part of to boosted posts.

Overall the community is good with lots of content to see and read. I am aware that your forum is built with the idea of sharing youtube content, and that most of the time the community interacts on YouTube.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

In conclusion, you have a very good forum. I am aware that you maybe in the process of updating the look of your forum and so the points I have raised my not be valid in the future. Well done and good luck with your forum community.

I'm not in the process of changing my theme, but I am trying to get a logo uploaded as soon as I figure out how to. I will start to use the Package Service more to boost my post count on my forum.

@Jak
To make this forum stand out I would suggest adding a light and dark switch for users to use
- How would I do this? I'm hosted with prophpBB.

I also recommend you find colors that work with the dark theme if that is what you like.
- I did manually edit it so the forums text was white on the dark theme. Do you have any further suggestions on how I could improve this?

Thank you for your feedback

First Impressions:
The first thing I notice is the top banner. I can see the intention of having a very nice layout, unfortunately, the first impression flops with that header. It is the default with the theme, instead of your own forum's name. This is something I would definitely urge you to fix as soon as possible.

Reading the rules and looking around I couldn't find anything that would openly let me know if I could only share content I created or if this is meant just for content creators. I think it is important people can figure that out on their own during the first impression.

With all this being said, the place seems alright. It doesn't really stand out but if I am interested in Youtube videos I might decide to give it a go.

design%20quality.png
Design Quality:
I am not one to favour dark skins but this one works really nicely. It is not very memorable. It could have some details added to make it easier for people to related to Youtube and sharing videos, for instance, the new/no-new icons are just generic boxes. You could try adding something to make it more reminiscent of videos like a "Pause" and "play" symbols.

Another problem with the skin design is that it is not responsive, so people visiting you with smaller screen resolutions will have a hard time navigating your community with the current look.

I cannot finish without stressing it again, that you need to fix your banner. When you do make sure it still combines with the cyan and background set. As it is right now, while your skin looks pretty good it does nothing to convey at a glance you are actually a Video Sharing community and not just some random First person Shooter clan.

site%20structure.png
Site Structure:
I like that it is straight to the point. You got the information category which is filled with pretty standard sections. You have an off topic area which keeps things simple by having just one main section on it. In between, you got the Youtube related zone which is the one with more sections.

Spelling wise, you have some descriptions ending with a period and some without anything. The most glaring mistake I found was in the YT recording and video editing where you have the following:

somewhere on your index said:
In this section, you are allowed to come in this section and discuss anything related to YouTube recording /video editing software's.

As you can see you repeat "in this section" and you use an apostrophe in software. My recommendation is to just get rid of the "In this section" padding and delete «'s» from the last word.

Kaynil suggestion said:
Come and discuss anything related to the use of recording and video editing software.

From what I can see you get most of your content posted inside "Video Zone". You have over a hundred topics there while some other sections won't even reach double digit numbers. However, I realised that there is no way to sort through those topics. As a visitor, it becomes a bit frustrating having to go around comedy and lots Let's play videos to find, for example, a cooking channel. I would recommend you to take a look what kind of videos get posted often and try to group them together. Have you considered using prefixes or creating a few sub-sections to make it easier to find (and maybe discuss) certain types of videos? If you don't have a plugin you could make it so they have to add in the title when they make their thread.

Good

originality%2016x16.png
Originality:
Well, I feel hard pressed. On one hand, I can see the effort put and I know the site is not copying other, it is trying to be its own thing and growth on its own rhythm but I feel that's just part of the minimal expectations of a proper community that is planning to stick around.

I cannot give props for the niche since there are other communities that have been longer and still active today for this same purpose. Let's move over the skin. I like when people try to make a unique skin for the place. It doesn't take much, you can get a good free skin and then tweak it around to create something unique. In this case, it seems like you got a cool looking skin, installed it and then did nothing else. Generally, you can get away with this but not when that's the first thing your visitors will know because that was the first thing I read with your header.

I am sorry but displaying a header that tips everyone that this was a pre-made skin you installed, gives a very 'unoriginal' impression.

Poor

activity.png
Activity Level:

the activity level really seems to be on the low side. Considering how long the place has been around according to your profile the ideal amount of posts should be a bit over 2700.

That said, I find it interesting the post/member ratio. You have 200 members and almost 700 posts, also roughly 1/3 of said posts are new threads.

Your threads rarely get many responses, unless they are outside the Video Zone. This means your members arrive, make a thread for their stuff and rarely return.

I think the reason is that there is nothing encouraging the members to break the ice with each other. For example, maybe they could have an exchange area where they could comment on each others' videos or announce they are looking for people to collaborate with them.

Maybe making some contests or activities for solo or small teams could help bring more engagement and make them feel they are getting something out of your community. Help them find each other and bond.

Poor

The thing I liked the best: That you are getting YouTubers sharing their stuff.
The thing I liked the least: That "replace me, please" head banner.

Overall Mark:
2.5%20stars.png

Right now this is not offering anything unique for YouTubers to stick around, however, I think that is something that can be addressed and I really hope this review can spark some ideas. I remember past stages of this community and I can appreciate the progress. I am happy to see you continuing with it and I am excited to see it grow and shared around.
