Your Quick Review

jrd9p3.webpPros
  • Before the page even loads for me, I notice you have a favicon (and a nice one at that). That's great.
  • The banner looks really nice. Although I would suggest that you don't put things like "beta", "alpha", ect. in the banner because then you'll have to change it whenever the stage of the forum changes. That would be unnecessary for yourself if you plan on keeping the banner apart from the "beta" text for a long time.
  • I love how when you hover over a navigation button a little piece of text comes up telling exactly what the link leads to. That's just so neat (This is really a personal preference though, some may find it annoying. Personally, I think it's amusing and gives the forum a new-age feeling.).
  • You seem to have some pretty unique forums on your board. I haven't seen a "The dream zone" type forum on any other forum before. It's great that your forum isn't just full of boards that every other general/experience forum out there has.
  • I think your theme is really pretty. I'm not sure how else to say that. I usually don't take a liking to vista-ish themes, but yours is really nice.

  • The forum width is off for me. Perhaps your forum has a fixed width? Perhaps something on the forum is just stretching the index out for me? Perhaps it's just my computer? (I'm starting to sound like the Asian guy from "Disturbia") I'm not sure what the cause is, but it's extremely annoying to have that little bar at the bottom of the forum that tells me that there's things on the page that I need to scroll to see.
  • Below the "social networks" table there is this stray letter - "S".
  • Speaking of the "social networks" table, I think that it looks out-of-place below the icon legend. It would look and fit in better right below the affiliate forum. Because the forums have the same table as the "social networking" table, whereas the icon legend and statistics do not.
  • Your forum needs some more posts. That should be fairly obvious, but I would feel like a bad reviewer if I didn't mention this. I would recommend you get at least three good quality topics in each forum. That can make your forum look more active than it is, as well as set an example for the kind of topics that are on your board (which may increase your chances of getting a good userbase in the future). Also, I would recommend you requesting posting packages, doing exchanges, and inviting your friends to the forum to help you get those sections filled. When I had a new forum I requested packages on many forums, in the "notes" section of the package forum I would specifically request the packager to post in a certain forum, and on each forum I requested on I would request each packager to post in a different forum. I would that worked fairly well for helping me fill up forums.
