Shark Swims up to surfer and does nothing!

Basically but they can suck you in, we went canoeing so we kind of weren't exactly near them in such but did touch them,it was my first time in the ocean and I really do hate being in the middle of no where.

You have NO idea how much I was laughing from that... I love having a sick mind. 😛

Sharks only attack because they think we are fish. I read that somewhere. They must have some terrible eyesight!

Sharks have an awesome sense of smell. A tiny cut can mean certain death in these situations. Sharks will a lot of times bite a swimmer/surfer once, see that whatever was bitten isn't fleshy enough to eat and go away. The blood that is lost during this will attract other sharks so when this happens, swimmers need to get out of the water fast. I learned that in Science class. 🙂

That guy was very lucky though.

We've been scuba diving and snorkeling around mainly the smaller reef sharks and they do nothing.

However I wouldn't be carrying my lunch bag with me around them.
