As many history buffs and others know, Ford pardoned Nixon. How do you all feel about that one?We have a similar system in the UK but it's rarely applied and apolitical in nature insofar as I believe only the monarch can grant a pardon and I think they only do so on the advice of the government. As far as I know it doesn't overturn the conviction, just the sentence.
In my view if Biden pardons his son, that would represent a conflict of interests and a miscarriage of justice but if the law allows it then it's hard to criticize.
Well, well, well... I see on the news that Biden went ahead and pardoned his son.
I'm actually glad for that because that's his son! As a parent, I would do the same thing.
I don't understand anyone trying to blame him for doing this. If he has not done it, I doubt Trump will be able to do that for him. So, he's taken the brave step of deciding to pardon his son with few days left for him to stay in office.
Sorry I missed your reply, it didn't get flagged for some reason. As many history buffs and others know, Ford pardoned Nixon. How do you all feel about that one?
We don't pardon anyone in New Zealand (from what I know?) so I may be completely talking nonsense but is it possible he did it because he knew what the puppet master would have done after he got back into office? Especially being the son of the person who won against him in the last presidential elections?Well, well, well...I see on the news that Biden went ahead and pardoned his son.
I'm actually glad for that because that's his son! As a parent, I would do the same thing.
