I have mixed feelings. I find many of the social provisions of the EU (e.g. their stance on capital punishment) compelling, but the real question is whether or not the social provisions are compelling enough to deal with the full-fledged neoliberal economics of the EU. Given that the EU is also doing some fairly shady things in regards to personal privacy from what I've heard, I would think not. It doesn't really matter to me, though, because I live in the U.S. Abandon all hope. 😛
