Kind of ironic that there's another forum that used the same name. Then again, I recall seeing a forum called "Admin Chill" on here once before and then I made one with the same name. :V I take it your version will be self hosted then @FloridaCody?
The other ForuMansion wasn't created by me and I do plan on self hosting.Kind of ironic that there's another forum that used the same name. Bring it back, we need more sites that are dedicated to helping forum owners build their forums.
I agree,
Bring it back, the more the better.🙂
That is the remnants of the original ForuMansion. It was initially on Forumotion. Looked absolutely nothing like that of course, and a lot of content on there is gone due to some nonsense that went on back then. It was relaunched a couple times after all that too.
Personally, I say pull the trigger and bring it back to life.
Well, looking at the dates of the posts, it's no problem to see that they're from way back. I have no idea what it looked like when Cory had it, lol.
Like I said above, nothing is stopping you from opening it.
Go for it.🙂
Thanks everyone I'm considering itDo it and see what happens 🙂
Yes it was.Was it ForuMansion.com? I looked on the Wayback Machine site...
2009
2011
I agree and getting momentum behind it is something I'm worried about. It was certainly successful back in its day looking at the stats! If you could get that going again with momentum behind it…who knows!
No not yet!IS it up yet 😛
I don’t mean to sound pessimistic, but it’s unlikely that the same momentum from 2011 will return. The internet, forums, and communities have evolved so much since then, making it difficult to recreate that kind of activity. While FP still has a strong community, the level of engagement we saw a decade ago just isn’t the same today.I agree and getting momentum behind it is something I'm worried about.

That said, don’t let this discourage you from pursuing your plan! I just wanted to offer a friendly reminder to keep your expectations grounded. 🙂
Best of luck, Cody!
