Nice week my friends,
Now I have an issue that need your advise. Now I have HP computer with core i3 CPU, HDD disk storage. I see that now my work needs a more powerful computer. So I think about an upgrade.

Should I upgrade my CPU to core i7 or get a new SSD disk?

What are pros and cons of each solution, thank you in advance

It depends on what you're doing. For most tasks, you'd probably benefit more from the upgrade to the i7 processor. If you're doing a lot of things like copying files or other things that rely more on disk speed, though, the SSD would benefit you more. Ideally, I would say to get an i5 and an SSD. The only real reason to get an i7 is for doing things that are extremely CPU-intensive like video editing, streaming, or super high-end gaming.

+1. Depending on how old your hard drive is, you could really benefit from getting an SSD. An i3 paired with an SSD would really make your computer hum. However, if you are going to be using a lot of processor heavy applications (like CAD), then get the i7.
