Prune all the users in my userbase with 0 posts?
It would bring my userbase from 31 to 13. . . . . . . . . . .

Well to be honest, if 18 of those members have registered and still haven't posted, I think you will be safe enough to prune them. If they need access again, they can re-register.

How long have they been registered for?

A few days? I honestly, think you don't have to prune them unless it is atleast a year. 😛

But, the forum only have 171 posts TOTAL.
That is not a good user😛ost ratio.

Give them at 6 months, then they can't turn round and say they were away from their computer for a few days. At least then you gave them a while to come back.

Also, you might consider sending out an email notifying members that you will be pruning members.

Don't worry about the number of posts/topics you have. It's not about quantity, it's the quality.

We never prune our members, as you never know when they might want to come back.

Yeah because a lot of members with 0 posts with over a year old account always tend to return just as quick as they didn't even bother posting.

Note the sarcasm? :great:

My $0.02...
If I regged on a board, left for a few months and came back to see my account was pruned, I'd probably just not bother becoming active again.

Active again? I thought these members had 0 posts?

Here's the thing... it's not like.. regular usernames. The usernames are like..

GoraKavonenHome
reteUntonekly
chrnusscqre
dourceker
DroriardeUrom

and half of them just joined, put a link to their website and left.

-- 30 Mar 2011, 21:18 --

I've pruned them, because I found that they are posting virus infested links on my website.
If they want to come back, let them, but I'm not gonna let that happen.

I would only do that if I was sure they were all spam members. If you delete real members who haven't posted, you just made it for sure they won't ever return and post, and also if you decide to send newsletters in the future you won't have their email anymore either.

That should almost be an automatic ban if they are merely just signing up to place a link. Looks like a case of spammers using xRumer.

It's really up to you to delete members that have never posted, even though it'll put your total member count to less than a half. Give them six months, or you can email them to come back.

EDIT: Didn't notice that DavidL posted before me... lawl.
