Van Persie has shown his disbelief in winning a title with Arsenal. He rejected on signing a new contract with the Gunners. Man City is reportedly interested in buying the Dutchman. Do you think Arsenal should cash in the opportunity while he is still under contract? So should Arsenal convince van Persie to sign a long-term deal at Emirates Stadium?
I think he should leave. He is a good player and staying at Arsenal will not give him many trophies (maybe an FA cup) and Arsenal rely too much on him. Arsenal lost Fabregas last year and I think they will lose Van Persie this year. I think the only way Arsenal could get him to stay is to bring in a few big signings but Arsenal are not a club that seems to like spending big sums of money on players and unless Arsenal change the way they operate, I think Van Persie will go.
Think of the players that have left Arsenal and won trophies. Nasri, Clichy, Fabregas, Adebayor? I understand why he wants to leave. Club have no ambition selling all best players.
