I actually have a weak immune system, so I tend to get sick more often than other people do. However, it was worse when I was a kid. These days I'll get so much as a bad cold or the flu, but as a kid I used to get pnemonia (sp?) almost yearly up until I was 11 years old. So yeah, it used to get pretty bad, but now I was diagnosed with asthma over the course of this last summer, so I've been battling that off and on as well. It's not fun having these health problems, but at the end of the day, all you can do is take care of yourself and at least try to get better in most situations.
Strangely I don't get sick as often as I get older. That said when I do get sick, such as with flu like symptoms I take extra care of myself to get back to feeling better ASAP.
I used to get colds often, but I rarely had to stay home from school. When I was younger I got sick to the point that I had to go to the hospital because of a high fever, but that rarely happens now. Usually I just fight through my crappy feelings and go on with my life. Last semester I did have a pretty bad fever but I just took some ibuprofen and dealt with it 😛
Yeah, I'm probably the person that spreads the diseases because I didn't stay at home 😛
My immune system varies on how much I smoke. When I have a stressful period of time I tend to pick up small illnesses but get over the quicker. Whereas if it's just a normal day, I'm fine throughout.
Saying that, I talk a lot which means I've caught tonsillitis multiple times in the past year. Time for a high dosage of ice cream and a pair of surgical pliers I think.
