First Impressions & Appearance – (17 out of 20)
Upon my first look at Sideline Today, I was very impressed with the overall appearance of your forum, as it looks like you have put a lot of hard work and dedication into your site. The colors fit well together and makes it easier to read as well. Having a slideshow of pictures and text is a nice feature that gives more of an overview of the newest content.
A few things that could be change is the fact that the “score bar” at the top has only one game on it makes it pointlessly large. I would suggest adding more games up there or downsizing and moving it. There is also a lot of space in the side bar that you could either add content there, or make the space not as large.
Site Layout – (14 out of 20)
The layout for your site makes viewing sports news simple and fast. The logo has a simple design to it, but it takes up a very small amount of space. The layout of the main page is also a bit crunched together. Since you has a lot of empty space you could possibly spread it out a bit more.
All the separate pages for the NFL, NBA, and MLB have nice layouts, but underneath the first sections there is blank space to the right of the articles. You could edit it so that you can add more articles to the site. It also makes the page look more professional.
Statistics and Activity – (10 out of 20)
As you mentioned before, you don’t have a whole lot of activity on your site. One or two suggestions to improve the traffic you get would be to use more social media sites such as Facebook.
Content – (15 out of 20)
The content on your site provides a good amount of things for your viewers to read about. There is about 20 or so articles for each section. Having polls and “top ten” gives you viewers a feel for what kinda of sports you and others are.
There are a few things you could improve on for content. For starters, you can have you try to keep up and write articles as soon as something new comes out, so viewers aren’t looking to other sources for the newest sports news. Some of the articles are fairly short and could have more content to them. The last suggestion i have for content is that you could add more sports such as hockey, tennis, golf, etc. This not only give you a wider range of viewers, but also greatly increases the amount of content you have.
Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism – (18 out of 20)
I read about 10 articles and found only 1 spelling error. Overall the grammar is good, but you should have your writers make sure that they read over their articles before they post them.
This site looks very professional, in some of the articles I noticed that they sometimes contained the writer’s personal opinions which can sometimes be good or bad.

Overall your site looks very professional, but could do with a few adjustments here and there. The main thing you need to work on is your content amount/variation and activity. I hope you take this observations and benefit from them, as I really enjoyed reviewing your site.
