Sidewalk Demolition and Tree Clearing

So, we have a number of neighbors who decided that they want to help us out free of charge. We have one group of neighbors who decided that they will pay to replace our sidewalks entirely, and another group who will be cutting up the tree that fell on our property and hauling it off to someone who needs the wood. The group that is doing the tree removal, may even cut down an another tree in the process that looks like it might come down in the next big wind.

I don't know what to say because it is unusual for a neighbor to do that to you unless you are a VIP in your area. But I understand that you have a different culture there and maybe your neighbors are kind-hearted or perhaps they just want to beautify the place. If I were you, I would be ready with the snacks and the camera because that activity is worth posting in social media. When my husband repaired a portion of the road fronting a neighbor, no one had the time to even see what's going on so my husband took pictures of what they were doing and posted them in social media just for the record.

Community support, that's what we don't hear very often. What made them to do it for free rather then paying! I mean most cases that the home insurance deals with the money part! I mean that's if you have insurance?

The person just wanted to pay for the demolition and redoing of the sidewalk. The trees needed cleanup anyways, so might as well do it in the process. 😀
