I think you should make the render stand out more, and don't make him blend as much or cover him with as much brushing/effects. Brush, smudge, and add effects around him. For some finishing touches you could do a few that light cover him, but right now there's too much =/

I'd say start over, and use a dark colour for your background. The render looks like it'd make a good signature, so keep trying 😀
