signing into msn with a different id?

How to sign in to msn (the messenger) with something like [email protected]?

Normally there is a link saying sign in with different account. Click it and there you go.

However if that is the email you will be trying to sign in on,it will not work

It tells me that I have entered the wrong windows live ID or password. And I know my username and pass for my website email is correct. So there must be something else wrong.
