Signs a movie will be bad

What are some signs you see that tells you a movie will be bad?
Sometimes I see a trailer & it's the opposite. The trailer looked better than the movie! For me, it has to be the acting. If the acting is very bad, no matter how good the plot is, I don't bother anymore. I keep a list of what I've watched too in Microsoft Word. How the storyline goes. If it moves slow is not a deterrent either as long as the acting is great & you are held entranced.

I try to go in without expectations, but there have definitely been movies with great trailers that were awful movies.

When I watch a movie I have a time frame of around 20 minutes to see if the movie interests me. If it doesn't interest me in the first 20 minutes then I stop watching it now. I always say that if a movie is going to be good, you will be able to tell within the first 15 - 20 minutes of the movie. After many movies I have watched fully and been disappointed with, that is a rule I always stand by and go by now.

I normally just give it about 15 minutes. If I'm not hooked in that time frame, I'm off doing something else.

Definitely, I feel after 15 minutes if you have no interest at all it's just not worth trying to keep watching it as it's more than likely nothing will get any better and you will have just wasted time you can't get back.

When the trailer shows the whole story of the movie, maybe it will just spoil the movie. If the movie has a premise that doesn't take any explanation after 1 sentence it's probably a cash grab.
