Hey Guys,

Im not very good with this kind of stuff, but see in this thread viewtopic.php?f=36&t=95989 at the end of the review, they have a star rating image, all they do to get this to diplay is like type, rank:2(or something like that, I used to be on the reviews team).

How difficult is this to achieve on my own forum, I have a set of images I want to use, but dont want to copy and paste a link every single time, I'd much rather just type something like : imagepath: star4 or something.

I'm not experienced with Xenforo, but I'll give this a stab.

Could you set up a word censor that convers ":imagepath:star4" to
here
?

This could work, if Xenforo doesn't have this feature by default. I don't know though, I've never worked with it from that end.

I managed to use the censored words bit and it worked, however it displayed as text, as opposed to an image.

I was worried about that, I guess the word censors are parsed after BBCodes. Hmm... I don't know, I'll give it some thought and post back if I think of anything else. Sorry man. 🙁

Those stars are just an image hosted at an image host and placed in the post with the image tags. Xenforo does have image tags, but they are implemented through the WYSIWYG editor.

You could have your reviewers keep a set of the stars on their local computers and upload them when they post the review or keep a linked copy in the staff board that they can insert to the image insert function of the WYSIWYG editor.

Hope that made sense. 🙂

Yes, I am aware they are just hosted. They are on my account. I have the actual images on my computer.

I am trying to avoid exactly what you just suggested, I dont want to have to shove the link in or upload them every time.

I want to be able to store them in like my cPanel and set them with an imagepath.

Oh ok! I'm not sure how do that in Xenforo, sorry. Maybe ShadyX or someone else with mounds of XF knowledge could help you with this.
