Hello All!
The Community Team is excited to announce Forum Promotion's latest contest: a Site Battle Tournament! In honor of March Madness, we will be hosting a bracket-styled tournament in order to determine who has the best website on Forum Promotion! We will also be offering prizes to everyone who competes, including our top prize of $50, a free Sponsored Topic, and 3 free FP services of your choice! How exciting! We are also currently discussing the possibility of an incentive for voting in the Site Battle - more on that after the tournament officially begins.
Below you will find important details regarding how this tournament will work, what all of the prizes are, and how to enter into the tournament. I highly encourage everyone to participate, as everyone is a winner! If you have any questions, feel free to respond to this topic and we will be happy to answer them for you!
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA PM TO Quacker Jack BY MARCH 17th at 12 PM CDT.
Good luck to all!

Tournament Overview:
How does this work?Members will enter into the tournament by sending the completed form below to Quacker Jack. Once the deadline has been reached, the Community Team will randomly generate a single-elimination bracket for the tournament (similar to what this looks like). From here, the Community Team will set up polls that will last a short period of time, ranging from 4 days to 7 days (depending on round). Once the battle is completed, the winner will advance to the next game. In case of a tie, a panel of 3 unidentified staff members (of which shall have no connection to the sites at battle) will decide which site deserves to move on to the next round. The further you advance into the tournament, the better your prize shall be!
What are the prizes?
Here is a list of the possible prizes. Prizes will be awarded based on when (if) you lose. Since we will not know how many sites will be entering this tournament, we cannot provide a clear example at this time as for who wins which prize. If you are familiar with the March Madness Tournament, you will however understand when you win prizes. More details on this to come!
- 1 x "Champion" - $50, a free Sponsored Topic (a sticky topic in the board of your choice with the special [Sponsor] attribute that will last for one month), and any three (3) FP services free of charge
1 x "Runner-Up" - $25 and any three (3) FP services free of charge
2 x "Final 4" participants - $10, and any one (1) FP service free of charge
4 x "Elite 8" participants - Any 1 (ONE) FP service free of charge
8 x "Sweet 16" participants - 50% off 1 (ONE) FP service
Everyone else - 25% off 1 (ONE) FP service
- Typical Site Battle Rules do not apply for battles conducted under this tournament with exception to the general procedure for how a battle works and members do not have to give a reason why they voted for one site versus another, nor do they publicly need to declare who they voted for. These are optional.
- All Forum Promotion staff are allowed to participate in the tournament.
- To submit your site for this tournament, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must have at least 10 posts on Forum Promotion
- Your site must be older than 1 week OR must be clearly "active"
- You must be staff on the site
- Guests must be able to browse your site without logging into an account
- Your site's content must comply with our Board-Wide Guidelines
- You MAY ask your members to vote for your site in the tournament. You MAY NOT create multiple accounts or pay others to create multiple accounts for you to gain an advantage. Sites found to be exploiting votes or cheating in any way will be disqualified.
- All members must have 5 posts in order to vote in a poll. Members who join from your site to vote must follow our Board-Wide Guidelines when posting around the forum. If your site continuously refers members to our site that do not follow our rules or spam our forums for the purpose of gaining 5 posts to vote, your site could potentially be disqualified from the remainder of the tournament.
- If you enter more than one site and only win a participation "Everyone else" prize, you will only receive one 25% code. If you enter more than one site and at least one site wins a special prize, you will not receive a participation "Everyone else" prize for the sites that do not receive a special prize. Note that you can however win multiple special prizes if earned.
You are welcomed to enter up to 3 different sites; however, note that not all sites will automatically be entered. We are hoping to keep the bracket as fair as possible by have either 16, 32, or 64 sites compete (unless otherwise decided after the entries are submitted). As the total number of sites submitted will not be known until the deadline is closed, there may be some potentially unfilled spots that we could fill in with a user's second or third site. Please note that these spots will be filled in order of when you submitted your site. Note: As the entries will be randomly put into the bracket, your sites may unavoidably battle each other, and in which case, only one will remain victorious.
Important: Since a user is not guaranteed to have more than one site participate in the the tournament, please mark your "Site #1" in the entry form as the site that you want to compete the most, "Site #2" as the one you want to compete the second most, and "Site #3" as the third most.
Entry Form:
Please submit all entries to Quacker Jack. IMPORTANT: Please either use the PM button to the left side of this post to PM me, or ensure that your title contains the word "Tournament" in it.
