I have a feeling that page loading time has effect on SERP...
Server that http://www.tubewood.com is had some overload issues few months ago, and noticed that search engines moved my site way down on results 😕 Asked hosting company about the slowness and they moved my account to other fast server and took like a month to get back where i was before server overload issues :shake:
But, just my 2 cents. Have you folks noticed similar thing?
Your loading time is a factor of your SERPs, just a factor in the organic traffic you get. People won't want to have to wait for 30 seconds for your site to load if it was a random "I'll check out this link" click.
Hmm, why then did the shows in google results dropped a lot while server was overloaded... not talking about actual clicks, just shows in results...
As google tools give you that info too 😎
The main reason is that high ranking sites should serve the user and not mainly Googlebot. A user wouldn't want to be waiting there for a considerable amount of time and so Google introduced this factor to benefit users.
Speed is really a factor in serps. But we can't figure out any drop from the speed. We can't know what serp position we would have if we had a faster site. But don't worry, the percentage of the speed that takes part on the serps must be around 1% or 2%. So if your site is very slow you might drop at most 1 page in search results....
Oh, have missed this one, so it is a fact nowdays, ty for the link.
And yea, loading time is under control now, since account was moved to faster server
