This is a good way of getting into search pages. It allows a useless page but lets bots (Google etc) search through the main pages and add them to search engines. I've used it once.

I have never used one but will do soon i think, its just having the time to find one, most i have found have a 500 page limit.

I'm lucky as I host a Joomla site and it allows sitemap components. But, having to find one can be a big pain. Most big sites have one of these somewhere on their website.
