Site Showcase for SMF

I need some code that will display a site showcase (like on this forum) for SMF 1.1.4. I also need to know where to put the code as well. I am going to use it for my new forum that is about forums. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
It should just be the same code as the one we use here.

And not sure about SMF but it goes in index_body.html.

Lol, you installed it via fantastico with 000webhost. Upgrade to 1.1.7, it's really easy.
 
It probably would be better to upgrade it first then set everything up.
 
What do you mean "Site Showcase"?
I could probably code it for you.

PS Nice theme. I use a modified version of it.
 
Like on this forum. I would like to have a Site Showcase(at bottom) to display certain things.
 
You should think about adding the tiny portal for SMF, I use it and its fantastic.
 
Ok, as the test forum that I normally use is down, because I had to uninstall it due to a parse error in the MOD that I'm making. If you have a test forum that I can use, I will be able to make it a lot faster. I only have 1 SQL database 🙁
 
I have been upgraded to 5 (yes 5!) MySQLs now, so I worked on it today. Right now everything works except there is a slight issue with the modification of ModSettings.php which will take me another day to fix.
Currently this is what it will do:
Edit BoardIndex.template.php (Default theme only, yes this means theme edits 🙁 )
Add admin panel where you can put in a link, a picture, and text and it will automatically link the picture and have the text underneath (kinda like how they are here).
In the admin panel you can change the name of what it is called, the default is "Showcase". Though a quick edit in a language file easily could have done it.


Do you want anything else in it?
 
Do you still need this? I have two more MODs to work on, and they will most likely get used more than this, so I just want to know if it will be worthwhile for me to use this.

If anybody else running SMF will use this please post here, so that I know I'm not making this for nothing.
 
Thanks for telling me. I will post on the SMF community forums o see if there is need for it though. Marked Solved.
