So I'm making a new forum which will be a pokemon forum that's unique so I thought that maybe to help with uniqueness I could use a pretty unused forum software so now I need you to help me decide whether to use a not used much forum software or a very popular one.

So what do you think BBPress, phpBB or myBB

BBPress screenshot(Haven't done much to it yet):

I would suggest PhpBB3 🙂
Stable, safe, stable and nicely developed including mods etc.

I like MyBB.
-As already said, it's easy to use, it's stable, and there's tons of awesome plugins out for it!

I'd recommend you checking out MyBBCentral.com.
-You have to be a subscriber to get the plugins, which is 10 USD, but it's definetly worth it.
-One of the most solid plugin developers are uploading his plugins at that site 🙂.

Yes I have used myBB for over a year. I'm pretty experienced with it. Now I'm stuck between PhpBB and myBB.

Go with what you feel you're comfortable with. If it's MyBB, then use that. If it's phpBB, then use that. Why ask this kind of question in Brainstorming, man? It's more about the forum itself than the software (and to be fair, my personal opinion is that out of the box, neither offer anything special at all).

I have to be honest, and say that I haven't tryed out PhpBB.
-I really guess it's up to yourself.

I did it because I was worried people might not like bbPress and it seems to be true.

I don't really see what's wrong with it. It looks more here like saying, "I hate eating fiddleheads" when one hasn't eaten it (or the classic Green Eggs and Ham story).

Also, if you're going to use WordPress, then why not? bbPress could work better than a bridge.

Hmm maybe I will as I planned it to be site, blog, forum.

It's up to you, man. Contrary to a large belief here, looks isn't really restricted to forum software.

Can you give me some examples of forums using bbPress?
-I haven't really seen it before, to be honest.

I really don't think you should use BBPress, I really dislike it. I personally prefer phpBB. But, if you are most familiar with MyBB, it's probably a good idea for you to use it.

Uh, my choice is harder again, baring in mind this will be a whole site not just forum.

I'm going to use myBB.
