I have been told by many web masters, that all websites/forum/blogs need sitemap. If your website has sitemap then it will be indexed sooner and we will have submit the sitemap atleast a month in Google and Bing webmaster tools.
I wanted to know what do you think.
I don't it hurts to have! Search engines can easily crawl your site without one, but I'd imagine they place special emphasis on crawling where you tell them to. 🙂
I don't think we have such a thing. But we get indexed just fine without it, so I think as long as you have a good TLD, and some backlinks going on, you should have no trouble.
Sitemap helps to increase the crawl frequency of your website. Your website will get cached even you don't submit the sitemap, but submitting it will get them cached faster.
Hmm, I sometimes wonder about this kind of thing. A lot of the SEO advice you hear is fairly outdated. The search engines may no longer really rely on these as much as they used to.
