Sky Wave Returns!
That's right guys, I decided to pretty much scratch my old "Babble" project and use the ideas for my old forum, Sky Wave. Some of you remember Sky Wave as a stupid forum, with no potential which I believed after the third version. (
http://skywave.b1.jcink.com). We had some fun, but after internet issues, etc arose I was unable to maintain the forum and it died quickly (was fairly new).
Now, with a brand spanking new
premade theme and premade graphics we're ready to go!
We want
YOU as the users to decide our future. Instead of coming and immediately leaving because of our lack of custom theme / graphics, etc. Think about it this way.
WE ARE PLANNING FOR THE LONG-RUN. IF WE START AT THE TOP OF THE HILL LIKE MOST "SNOWGLOBE" FORUMS WE WILL HAVE NOWHERE TO GO BUT DOWNHILL. THIS IS WHY MOST FORUMS DIE AFTER A MONTH OR TWO.
What do you want Sky Wave to be?
I'd love Sky Wave to be the forum everyone can retreat to to talk, rant, and debate on. Members will play a huge role in the development of the board.
What makes us different?
The easy answer is WHO CARES. The board is here for fun, my friend and I are the only moderators (Myself being an admin, and my friend being a Comm. Mod). We are different because we're
not focusing on being different. We offer the same as any other general chat board but with a lighter atmosphere that is probably more accepting than most on the current network.
- No custom theme.
We didn't feel the need of a custom theme as we're trying to focus on bringing members for our community not because of our theme. We've chosen a suiting fall-like theme that is fairly attractive. More themes will be added as we continue!
- Only two staff (including myself)
Why do we need 6 members on our staff team if we don't know how large our community base will be? We will hire as needed and applications will not be used.
- VERY laid back.
Spam isn't that much of an issue. We will offer more of a fun environment with serious parts, but less serious, more fun.
- We have various ideas planning on being used
I know some will argue that we have nothing special. To be honest, maybe we don't. But I can offer you something a lot of boards cannot right now. I can offer you CONTENT. I have over 8 pages of topic ideas that are written out and saved in the staff room.

Become a part of the community while we're still young! We are quite aware of how difficult it is to join a community that seems "closed" or that seems quite content to stay the exact same. Join today and you'll be a part of a potentially large community!
Our History
Started off with a visit to my friends house. We both decided it would be fun to own a board together so we designed it. I handled everything and Logan (old co-owner) came up with the ideas. We started off as an anime-based board but quickly moved into the chat category as there wasn't much of a demand for anime.
