Type of graphic:A little graphic to put beside each board's name.
Size of graphic: I'm so horrible with sizes, so I can't give the exact size, but something like this forum has beside each board name http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/

Color scheme: Blue-grey.

Notes: I don't know if its possible to make the graphic darken up when new posts have been made, or not. If it is possible to do that, that would be great. If not, that's fine.

That looks nice, but the text is "FQF", and the colours are grey and blue. If you could change those two things, that would be great!

When there's new posts doesn't it turn orange? That's why I made it orange.

Yeah, it does, but I'm thinking if it turned either blue or grey when that happened, it would blend into the skin better. Though its up to you, since you know more then me about this stuff.
