How many here have a smart tv in your home?
Have you ever looked into reports that smart tv makers can record you?

Almost every single home has a smart TV nowadays, even the poor people have something. At the moment I have one big size smart TV in the main room 😉 ad other TV with a stick connected to it.

I picked up a couple of the new firesticks 4th Gen and use them on the smart TVs, they are a nice addition.🙂
As for recording anything we do in the house they won't see much, I would really shock them if they saw me house cleaning in my molly maid skirt.🤣🤣

I don't have a smart tv but I have a HDTV and I have the Amazon Firestick which turns it into a smart tv pretty much. I saved alot of money by turning it into a smart tv with the firestick and I bought the TV when it was on sale for Black Friday a few years back.

We now do have a smart TV in the house although I've personally never switched it on. I'm well aware that the manufacturer has access to viewing habits (none in my case) and audio input. I tend to assume everything that comes my way is potentially a scam so I'm not really that bothered about what these companies do with my data.

I don't care if they record what I watch because they get the ad money out of it anyways. No camera on the TV so they can't apply a face to it but maybe a location.

All my tv’s in my home are smart tv’s but the software is just so awful on these tv’s, which is why I’ve an Apple TV for each of them!

I never watch TV though, only Netflix and Disney+

I have 4 smart televisions in my home.

Recording? I only thought they recorded and collected your viewing habits from the user agreement that I read. Same with how Microsoft XBOX consoles ask or have a forced agreement where they can use your used data.

I’ve got a smart TV in both bedrooms, the living room, and the kitchen. We’ve mainly got the cheaper smart TVs with built in Roku, like TCL.
