My friend bought a Apple smart watch and I really liked it. However, when I thought what use would it be of compared to ordinary dial or digital watches, I couldnt come up with an answer. I am sure I dont want a watch tracking by heart rate and number os steps I walk in day.

What are your thoughts?

They are cool to have but options that I would never use and also it gets smashed easy and if you want to sell it you don't get much back. I have an watch and very old one and till this day it's worth allot of money

To me, the smartwatches are just an accessory. I don't necessarily need it, and I think my phone is sufficient.

Smart watches are just to make you look smart. I prefer using a regular analog watch to look smarter.

Apple watches hold their value very easily and I am sure I could smash your watch just as easily.

Yeah but Tech always get outdated

And besides, we cant be as casual as with our analog or digital watches. I am very careless 😛

I know several computers over 30 years old worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

You can answer phone calls with it, text message, check the weather, email, get other push notifications, you can pay for things with Apple Pay, use google maps or Apple maps to navigate you to where you need to go, talk to Siri, lock your car doors, social media, put your music in there, control Apple TV, find your iPhone, buy movie tickets, etc.

With all that said, I hate wearing watches. Regular and smart alike.

I might actually get one soon. I don't really like the idea, because I already break enough watches as is. I just want a better running watch, so I figure I should go all out.

I had Sony smart watches in the past, was too lazy to charge both my mobile and watch and reverted back to my analogue watch.

Someone bought me one and i never even took it out the box, i just rather the leather strap watches that matches with what i wear xD

I have owned Moto 360 v1 & v2, ASUS Zenwatch 2, and Gear S2... Also the Apple Watch Series 1 38mm Black for about 6 days. Lol

Anyway, the only one I currently have right now is the Zenwatch 2. I never use it because of my S8+'s always on display. I never need to look at my watch for that. Never liked wearing watches anyway.

Now they have come up with a special watch dial that rotates to the tune of the orientation of your eyes and face. It even elevates itself and turns towards a friend who is peeping into your watch. That will bring some muscle to those who are in favour of the smart watches 😀

I am not really interested in smartwatches. It seems that smartphones are just way better, they just don't wrap around your wrists.

I used to own a smartwatch, however, I got rid of my motorola 360 due to it's early phase, diminishing battery.
