I've heard it's back this year, but I'm not participating. I thought they'd ended it, but I guess they've brought it back.

They used to have this big summer event every year where they invited all the different forum owners (and their staff members) to come compete in various challenges. They would set up a new forum each year with a new SmashCamp domain. So they had SmashCamp2016.com, SmashCamp2017.com, etc. It was a lot of fun back in the day.

I guess I wasn't too active when Smash Camp was around, man that's a bummer since it sounds like it was tons of fun! Though I'm not sure if something like this could come back in the current landscape of the forum world unfortunately. Unless you incorporated Discord servers to the mix.

Starting in 2007, Smash Camp has been running for eighteen years (we don't talk about 2017 or 2024). This year we're bringing it back because we got nothing better to do.

Oh man it's on a Discord server now? What a bummer. 🙁 I think I'm going to pass, unless they decide to bring it back on a forum.

I think they moved to Discord once it became popular. Not sure exactly how long, but I feel like it's been on there for awhile now. The website they have looks nice, but just looking at one day's information, it feels like a lot to go on one page for each day. They're doing a great job with it though.
