(The unthinkable! KG asks for help on SMF? )

Yep. Yesterday between 5:00 and 11:00 PM my forum got screwed up somehow. It appears that all AJAX is turned off (possibly JavaScript as well, though I haven't gotten onto a computer to determine that yet). People are getting blank screens when logging in and posting replies. In addition, some browsers are crashing (no giant gorillas climbing the Empire State building yet). Posts can't be quoted, quick edit doesn't work, and the instant quick reply doesn't work either

The crazy thing about this is it happens on both forums that I have. One is SMF 1.1 another is 2.0. cPanel wasn't hacked, and i'd be damned if somebody got my forum password (I rarely use public computers on it, and only those that clear out user downloaded files when logging out). The host said in one ticket that everything is fine, but I know it isn't, and replied in another support ticket.

Any ideas what went wrong? I'm up to hearing anything that might fix the problem.

That sounds like a host issue. As a guest everything is working fine for me.

I registered and a blank page did come up. However just going back to the main url fixes that. No other problems though.

Humm checking out your host though it seems to be a server issue.

Thanks for taking your time to look into it. I believe it's a host issue as well, but I don't know how to prove it.

Registered and I got a blank page. To confirm a already confirmed thing. 😛

That is a very odd error, when you look in Cpanel, all the normal server functions are enabled?

LEft side bar:
vwuc6s.webp

Click the "Click to View Link". It will bring up the core functions on your server and depending on your Cpanel version, display a check by what is online and and X for offline

Humm according to your dns,you are not using trap17 anymore. When did you switch ?

THT, I'll check that out. Thanks

I'm still using Trap17, though i don't post to host any longer. It's through a Trap17 company called Xisto.

Yeah, that's where the nameservers are. Or possibly te company that hosts Xisto/T17
Ahh okay,I thought that might be the problem lol. Only other guess is they disabled ajax support <.<.
