SMF questions again(Sorry for newbness)

My site is 80% where I want it and I went on and Joined Premium and got some really cool themes from Dziners studio this morning. But i have some questions


1) Backing up
I've asked this before and I am still confused. With mybb all i had to do was go into the mybb admin panel and click back up and it would automatically save to my PC that way. I never had to go into CPanel or pHPmyadmin to do that.

So what is the exact process for backing up. I like to at least back up my site at least twice a day.

2) Chancing Background on Dziner's Studios Custom themes
How do i change the actual background from the color? Currently i am using Zenoto but i plan to try and use a few others this weekend and i want to be able to change the banners

3. Member Colors

How do I get the membergroup colors to show across the entire forum/site? Currently i have about 5 different groups with different colors but on the main forum directory with the categories and then the topics index, it only shows the names in the site's default color....If you click on a thread THEN you will see the member groups actual color.

I want to make it where all over the forum you can see their color and know who they are.

4. How do i change a theme's content color?

I'd like to change the color of the category area where you see the categories, forums and topics. How do i change the color for the themes?

5. Points System
IS there a Mod for 2.0.2 that gives memebrs points each time they post? I like to use it as forum currency for members to be able to buy cool things for their profile...Like special ranks & titles, username changes, special color, etc etc.

6. Simple Portal Question

My site is a book forum so I want to post an announcement on the portal page where it shows a picture of the book and have a countdown to when the book is going to be released. Any clue how I would do this?

7. Spoiler button
Is there a way to add buttons or some type of menu to let people know what spoiler tags are and other tags such as that?

2. Sometimes it's in the ACP, go to features & options > current theme. (This only works in SOME themes) If this doesn't work, you'll have to replace the BG image in your themes directory WITH THE SAME NAME

3. It should work how you want it, otherwise, search it on the MODs site.

4. You need to know CSS

5. Yes, SMF Shop (Google it)

7. Its a BBcode, Google "Spoiler BBcode SMF"

I don't know 1 and 6.

1. AdminCP > Maintenance > Forum maintenance > Database.

From there you can download the forum database.

There is also a 3rd party tool which makes it even easier. Which can be found here - http://download.simplemachines.org/?tools its called java backup tool.

6. You would need to make a custom block. You would also have to have a script of some sort for the clockdown timer.
