Okay, I am an utter newb and lazy ass when it comes to this. Earlier on I uploaded a SMF forum, and my first intentions was to download and upload a theme. So I downloaded a theme from Dzigner Studio's extracted all files. I went to upload the files that it told me too from a guide it said upload .css so I did and they said make sure your image servers are correct also. Then I clicked install and the theme looked like it had no css to it. But now I am stuck on what to do next but I am not going to go any further until someone can confirm that I will need FTP or an experienced SMF'er tells me Sotfaculous sucks with SMF.

You don't even have to unzip the theme.
Admin > Themes and Layout > Install a New Theme (scroll down) Browse and Upload. You can delete the files you already uploaded for that theme if you already FTPed them.

No. I uploaded the forum with Softaculous and when I done what you have said, and after I click install it looks like a pile of well, crap.

Inferno from DzignerStudio, honestly I don't know. I installed the forum with Softaculous and don't know if that is a problem with it.

Just try installing SMF manually, or you might have to update the version of it
