Smokers will dispute that statement, most smokers wouldn't admit that they are addicted to the cigarette. But it's true because addiction means you cannot live without it and that's the situation of a smoker, they would die for a smoke. It's really fortunate for some people to quit smoking just like that and that they don't fall to the temptation although I know some smokers who quit and return, quit and return to smoking so many times. If you are a smoker, do you have a plan to quit?
I think the way people quit is wrong as some people try to do it in one day where as i believe its something that requires time, like if you do 10 cigs a day, Try doing 5 a day, then after a few mins you find yourself doing 1 day until you stop over time
They know its addiction, but would not want to admit it. I have asked young people over time about their reasons for smoking, they always come up with funny unbelievable reasons, some say it aids digestion, some say they feel cold without smoking and other reasons like that. The truth about smoking addiction is that it's not an easy habit to drop, it takes self discipline to stop that habit.
I would definitely say that smoking is an addiction. I just laugh at people who says that they are are limiting their puffs and will quit one day. I personally smoke cigarettes but would never make a promise to quit.
Smoking is an addiction. My wife uses her smoking addiction as a way to control her appetite and dieting. IF she doesn't smoke, she turns to food instead and gains weight. I've seen her do this in the past. Basically she traded one bad habit for another.
