I think i should be banned everywhere except inside your own home. I hate walking down the street and have a group of smokers work past and having to hold you breath until you walk past.

Ye I think that to but its worse when im in the match and the person who sits behind me smokes like 3 a game.

I think it should be banned. As a non smoker and a chef, it really gets up my nose (literally) when people smoke round me. And i find it a complete turn off, when my girlfriend screws her face up just to hold a fag in her mouth..yuk!

Im a non smoker, an ex girlfriend is a smoker, well, its like kissing an ashtray, if you see what i mean.

If smoking was banned full stop it would be so much easier for me to give up.

I hate it, and have given up on numerous occasions but still go back to it. WHy? I don't have a clue. If I did I would try to change it.

Problem is, if smoking was banned completely, tax on alcohol would increase therefore we would be paying a lot more to get drunk.

It's all based around politics and 'economics.' The government make too much money off the sale of tobacco products, and if people started smoking less, they would make less money so they would have to find other ways of increasing earnings, which would then penalise so many other people.

I can honestly say 1 thing for myself - I don't smoke when I'm out. So if I leave my house at 9am, and don't return till 7pm. I won't smoke for all that time.

I despise the smell of Cigarette smoke, and I am completely glad it has been taken from public places.

Next should be Open Markets. To many pains who light up and carry their lit cigs at waist height, so many brush past burns on my hands, pity any children walking by.

The next step I have heard is that Foster Parents cannot foster young children if they smoke.

Your own homes be my guest however more than welcome too.

I don't really find it a problem. I would ban it though inside restaurants and stores. People can always go outside to smoke.

im a smoker and yes i agree with the whole not smoking in public places thing, but banned outright would be costly and too difficult to police, and banning would just force smokers underground?

and im glad about the fostering thing too! as a mum and a smoker i would never allow anyone to smoke around my kids wont even go to friends houses if they smoke. ive been an outside smoker for the last 7 years! and now im banned from the back door too i have to go to the bottom of the garden -D-
