Snow on forums

I actually hate this as my internet connection resets due to the graphics and the script itself. What are your comments for forums that have snow on it? Do you still go on it? Do you have it and on what pages?

If you want to see snow, get a snow machine and point it in front of the computer and turn it on. There's the same snow. 😉

While I think it can be nice to start with, I think it can also be distracting as well after a while.

Eh I'm thinking more of falling snow as background image not a flash one. That is indeed annoying.. I don't have problem with them being on a forum though. People can do whatever they want with their forum. As for me, I'd never do that. I HATE IT.

I think snow is only appropriate on a global warming or an Al Gore forum. Otherwise it's a pain in the ass.

I can take it, but every once in a while my computer glitches up but i do use forums that have snow

i like it better if they change their banner to be covered in snow for the occasion instead of pouring snow all over the forum

Eh. I think it's all right. I remember using one awhile back that let you change the image of the snowflakes.

If it lags your computer, you could get noscript (firefox addon) and it should stop it unless you allow it.

FP has had snow before, last year I believe. How is this such a secret?

Everybody sees it as a pain.

It's okay if very subtly used in select areas, maybe in the background on the sides of the forum. But I've suffered death by animated snowflakes on some boards, not something I'd like to see again...as for snow or butterflies or whatever else fluttering down in front of the boards, no way, annoying as hell.
