So Apparently Facebook Is Now Putting Some Focus On User-Privacy

So just yesterday, I found an Article detailing about how Facebook was "Going to start caring about and fixing User-Privacy Issues". I was quite surprised to see this.

Knowing Facebook and how many Scandals they've been involved in over the past few Years, I'm going to be aware of this one. I believe that they will but at the same time, I don't.

I hope that Facebook does actually start caring about Privacy. I'd love to use Facebook but in their Current Position, it's a No-No for me. Again, I will be keeping an eye on them to see if they do what they promise(But I do doubt it).

Do you believe that Facebook will begin caring about User-Privacy?

I can't trust facebook. I can never trust no matter how strict their control becomes.

Well, I guess time will tell. I mean if you use Google, they collect Info about you. Microsoft collects Info about you. Pretty much every Tech Company does that now.

The problem is that it's Facebook.
Facebook is like Google but with ten times fewer morals.

Google at-least pretends to be upright, even though they track everyone, Facebook doesn't even bother. They know they're bad, you know they're bad, pretty much everyone knows it's bad, but they use the awful thing anyway.

People have always known Facebook is bad, it's not something we just discovered last year.

They also run all sorts of emotional experiments with their users without telling them to see if they can manipulate you into feeling more happy and sad. It's like a really evil version of Google.

Plus, Google / Microsoft contribute to open source, e.g. fixing security vulnerabilities in OpenSSL, Linux, etc. Facebook on the other-hand has no utility to society, besides trying to find new ways to screw people.

Even React, they tried to sneak clauses into the license, to try to steal other people's patents before Wordpress got really mad at them and they back-tracked.

Google, Microsoft and Amazon are not reliable either. The thing is any company prefer to collect data has chance of going evil on you.

I know that.

Speaking of Microsoft, I disabled all of the Telemetry in Windows 10, for Google, I got rid of it, used it again and are now ditching it AGAIN and for Amazon...Well...Amazon is one that would be hard to give up. Even though they too, collect Data.

I don't think we should accept Companies like these stealing our Info and using them for whatever they use them for. I also believe that more People should know about things like these. If they did, then more People would probably begin ditching their Products. Just like me, as I'm ditching a lot of Google's Products now.

No one is reliable, but sadly, unless I want to live under a rock, it's very hard to avoid using some of these services.

Google's new CEO, Sundar Pichai, is doing a particularly awful job in regards to censorship, Project Dragonfly, Maven (AIs being used in drones used to kill people), etc. but it's still somehow a step above Travis Kalanick (Uber) and Mark Zuckerberg (FB) who have such a long string of scandal that it's like a new problem arises almost constantly.

I do some stuff over Tor, so that nosey ISPs, Google, etc. can't snoop on me 24/7 (ISPs can be a big problem too with data collection. It's not just Big Tech, NSA, etc.), but sometimes, gotta use something created by Big Tech.

Well, honestly, everyone volunteers to give up privacy! I mean, people are pretty much throwing personal views in your face.
