So how much info does Facebook actually collect?

Good god, THT, no one knows why they have it, why do they? Answer that. They save your posts and things you share and gather info about you. Why? Idk. I don't care. I just was sharing a post about how you can get it on a CD.
Why do you have such a huge god damn problem about that?
Is your mind that feeble? The first sentence. "no one knows why they have it". I do. You gave it to them. They didn't make up info. U handed it over lol

I was referring to the fact that they have information you never shared with them, or gave them permission to use, which is why the image in the OP says mention the LAW of the Data Protection Act.

How? Who researched you from Facebook. Facebook CIA? how much info does Facebook have on you? As much as you give them.

No, request a CD and find out, as I'm not going to tell you because it has really personal information. I'm not the only one vouching this, even Gimgak knows. -_-

Well, I am pretty sure it's been confirmed they track the websites you go to after leaving or something like that. I really can't be bothered looking it up but the teacher in my IT course was talking about it a couple weeks ago. You don't really give them that, but well you do agree to it by using FaceBook.

You. Don't. Agree. To. It. That. Is. The. Point. Of. This. Thread.

Okay, have fun looking at all the info they collect on you ಥ_ಥ

Well technically you gave them the info first  this is rather interesting lol

Facebook has always had something fishy going on like that, it's just awesome like that.

THT, you gave them the original info, then they use that to find things that might 'interest' you, then when it does interest you and you enter your details there, facebook collects that, without asking for permission, and so on and so forth.

You willingly gave them that info. You are not forced to be on facebook you know

I know, but they did not ask for permission to take that info, nor does it say anywhere in their privacy policy that they will collect this info, nor do they properly dispose of this info in the amount of time specified in the DPA of 1988.

I did, now before replying, request your own CD, look at the info, then read the permission pages and terms AGAIN and tell me I'm wrong. K?

No I know the terms, I'm not paranoid because I have the facts. If you want, I'll help you create a site about how Facebook is selling our info to the terrorists. I've already said what it is, but you can't expand on already small land.. so yeah. 😛

I give up. Request a CD, and find out that you're wrong. I'm done.

Guys, this is a debate. Let's try to keep it civil. Thanks!

Well this is why I delete my Facebook. A pointless waste of time, and they collect WAY too much information on their members.

You can't delete your Facebook account. Because once you try and login again "it's magically all there" again. What happens is that basically your account is removed from the site but all your information is still stored in the database. The only way to destroy the information is to actually remove it from the database, something which they obviously won't let you do.
