OK, So I just searched "UK General forum" on google and my site http://www.im-here.co.uk comes up 10th on the first page.

I also list 12th so 2nd on 2nd page for "UK General forums".

Just noticed I am listed 4th on first page when searching "uk general discussion forum" and 5th on first page for "uk general discussion forums".

Is that good? I assume I can only climb the list providing I continue to do as I am doing?

The thing is Im the only one posting on the forum, I have very few members and for some reason I just cant get people to sign up. Yet I made first page.

Its my first EVER forum so kind of excited about it to be honest especially on the search term UK General forum.

I was also wondering, Does it help the domain name I use has been registered although has been pretty much empty since 2007?

You appear 10th to yourself only or also others who visited your site.

I who never visited your site find it on the 12th spot on google when typing in:

"UK General forums" or "UK General forum"

I think its pretty good.

Mine is the 1st result when you type in the word "Wober"

However if you type in "Discussion Community" or "General Chat Forum" its probably buried hundreds of pages back.

You just got to focus on it a bit more. Dashing's usually 1st or 2nd page most of the time, but we don't get a lot of impressions/clicks from them.

Methok, your site is at the end of the first page for me, but have you checked Google Webmaster Tools to see how many people actually look at the keywords? This way, you can figure out if it's worth it to rank up there or in another search query.
