So I was thinking...

Yes the post limit is a pain

Whats the point in making a promotion site if you automatically have precautions to stop them advetising which they have joined forc ~redface~

We started off with no limit but over time you start getting loads of people promoting and threads will only be on the first page for a few hours before they disappear. A post requirement will give people more time on the first page so more people can see their ad.

I like to see active staff, a good skin, and creatively named forums. Like in my forum, I have Console Queries as the name of the forum for all current systems, and games. (The more creative you are, the more traffic you get.)

Post limits are a pre in running a quality advertising service ;-)

Keep them I would always vote for 🙂 The annoying spammers tend to stay away 😛

4 posts isnt exactly a lot thoe is it.

I guess i like to see organisation, well planned/layed out and lots of things to do.

A nice theme/style is a must for me. The staff's grammar must be good and no spelling mistakes etc. Good forum descriptions and the forum overall should look and feel nice. Posting requirements don't really bother me as most of them are quite low, although i have seen some that are 10 and one has even been 15 which is way too many, I'd say 7 is enough.

Yeah I'm on your promotion forum, its good.
Haveing no post limit for your advertisement forums is great but yet people could just post the ad then leave your forum and after a while it might get inactive.
Maybe you should make a:
You need 5 posts to post an ad for your site
or something like that. ~rolleyes~

It's not only about the forum becoming inactive... It helps give your active members more chance for their topic to be seen.

But still you can't say that something like 4 post limit is a lot. Thats like 3 posts and your advert.

True, but if we enforced a post requirement before promoting then the forum would still become inactive. We did have a post requirement but the site became very inactive, so we removed it.
