Hello, So what do you do when multiple members start rule breaking? I personally have not
ever experienced rule breaking on my forum, well from multiple members, I have had single members
being a bit naughty but nothing really serious, so what about you?
And also, what do you do and how would you act if a situation ever came to rise?
I warn And move there post to an Administration Junk Area Admins only can see it. I also Tell them anymore and they will go to A non Posting Ban removing they Posting Privileges
Lock the topic and send a private message to the members involved. Be sure to explicitly quote your user guidelines in the private message. Make things as clear as possible! 🙂
- Close the thread and explain why it was closed in the 'final reply'.
- If problems continue, PM all the individual participants and explain the problems and ask them politely to stop.
- If they continue, raise the warn bar and explain the situation again.
- If they continue, continue warning them.
- If they go too far, a suspension or ban may need to be put in place.
Usually if you suspend the user for a few hours they will get the point.
First start with a verbal warning, that should do it.
If not give them a few hour suspension or even 24 hours.
If they continue give them a few days to a week.
Usually they will stop.
