Hideous Dwarf said:Advertising a forum is not easy when you are trying not to spend too much, but link exchanges with other sites if quite effective. One idea I read about was to print off a batch of simple advertising slips and carry them with you to place wherever you can - inside library books and in book shops, inside other people's leaflets on the racks in supermarkets etc. It's a bit cheeky but it helps. If you're into DTP a three-fold leaflet distributed around the pubs or with whoever will take them can work. If you find a rack just pop a few of yours in with the rest. Your local newsagent will usually accept a leaflet or slip if you are prepared to spend some time piutting them into the newspapers.

If you are not certain about this, then I think you should reconsider making an advertising forum, purely because of the vast amount of research you need to maintain an advertising forum, as evident with FP.
