How can one use Social Bookmarking to help get traffic to a website/forum/blog?

You can usually submit your own links to social bookmarking directories, or have widgets or plug-ins at the bottom of each post for making it easier for people to submit your articles.

I think if you have great articles, people would social bookmark them.

I think the key to gain traffic for your (website/forum/blog) using social bookmarking website is to post, tag and share interesting topics. Link that to your website/forum/blog, that way you can drive people to visit and explore your website/forum/blog and gain traffic for it. Personally, I don't use it. Like forums are fun and all, but I don't like a topic is so interesting i'll share it with friends. I do it occasional on news sites like CNN and such. Try a new approach

I only use Facebook Like, Google +1 and Twitter to share an article on a site with the share buttons if I'm already logged into FB, G+, or Twitter since it is simple. But, if I'm not logged into any of theses services, I'm usually too lazy to login.
