Decree 72 is a recent law enacted by Vietnam to limit free speech online by their citizens. According to this vaguely worded decree Vietnamese can be jailed, imprisoned or fined for critizing the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the Internet or social media venues on the Web. According to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a record number of dissident bloggers have been arrested and jailed by the Vietnamese government this year.
