Socialism vs Capitalism

Socialism wants to make our country, America, more like communist Russia. While many socialists are good people, many also want to transform our country into something it isn’t, through liberal left wing alt left politics. Many also want to live off the public dole... very sad.

The only thing that gets equally distributed in socialism is misery, poverty, and hunger. Venezuela is an ongoing example of socialism at work. I think I'll take capitalism over socialism but it doesn't mean it's exactly perfect as it requires a firm set of laws that are set into place and fairly enforced on all for it to work but it can work if a country really wants it to.
I admire some socialist type projects, like say, MyBB. However, though, I have to admit the critics have some points. The development is slow for socialist projects, some probably work harder than others - typical stuff the libertarian John Stossel writes in his newspaper articles. However, that's not saying, though, that such things should be thrown away. That's where those people go wrong. In fact, a lot of public stuff like PBS, phpBB etc. are great gifts to humankind.
Anyway, there are still major pitfalls to some capitalist stuff. For instance, why get an advertising mod for XenForo (possibly around 40 USD) and the expensive software (140 USD tops), when free ones that seem just as good exists for MyBB and phpBB?
I doubt if many want to live off the public dole. Perhaps the problem is that low wage jobs aren't paying - so it seems more profitable to simply game the system for free money (get pregnant with the sole purpose of getting more welfare, get disability when the disability is probably exaggerated etc.). And, of course, low wage jobs would be all that's available to a lower educated workforce.
